BIT Capital expands Management Board

BIT Capital expands Management Board and sets course for strong growth

Berlin, December 10, 2025 – The Berlin-based investment company BIT Capital announces management changes that will enable the company to consistently pursue its growth strategy and broaden its leadership structure. As part of this realignment, Peter Wibbe is appointed to BIT Capital's Management Board and, as Managing Director, will be responsible for Marketing and Sales, Operations, and Human Resources. Wibbe has many years of experience in building and leading high-growth investment and technology companies. In recent years, as Managing Director, he led the single family office of founder Jan Beckers, where he held overall responsibility for operational management, investment activities, and strategic holdings. Previously, Wibbe worked in investment banking for Goldman Sachs in London. Furthermore, Dr. Matthias Thom, previously Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel, and Authorized Signatory, is appointed to the Management Board. In his new role as Managing Director, Dr. Thom will be responsible for all financial and governance matters at BIT Capital, including accounting, financial planning, controlling, legal, compliance, and risk management. Dr. Thom brings many years of experience as a lawyer and governance expert from leading international law firms and the venture capital industry. Hendrik Krawinkel, Co-Founder and Managing Director of BIT Capital, is stepping down from the Management Board and transferring parts of his role to Peter Wibbe and Dr. Matthias Thom. Krawinkel, who has significantly contributed to the establishment and successful development of BIT Capital since its founding, will remain with the company in a strategic capacity as a member of the Advisory Board. In this role, he will continue to support the management with his experience in company building, capital market access, and strategic scaling.

Strengthening AI-powered Investment Expertise

Carlos Bielsa, previously a Partner at BIT Capital, is appointed Managing Partner and Chief AI Officer. Bielsa will continue to serve as portfolio manager, including for the successful equity fund BIT Global Technology Leaders (ISIN DE000A2N8127), which has been one of Europe's top-performing equity funds since its launch. In his new role, Bielsa will also help shape investment strategy and product development, and as Chief AI Officer, he will further drive the integration of Artificial Intelligence into BIT Capital's investment process.

Jan Beckers and Marcel Oldenkott continue to lead Investment Division

As joint Chief Investment Officers, Jan Beckers and Marcel Oldenkott will continue to lead the strategic and content-related direction of BIT Capital's investment business. As Managing Director, Oldenkott will assume expanded responsibility for Systematic Strategies, Macro Research, and Portfolio Risk Management, thereby strengthening the company's data-driven investment architecture. With this new structure, BIT Capital boasts a broadly positioned leadership team that combines operational excellence, regulatory expertise, and deep investment and technology know-how. This expansion of management underscores the company's clear growth strategy, as it further strengthens its position as a leading European technology investor.
