Press Release: "Realignment of BIT Global Fintech Leaders / Renaming to BIT Aggressive Growth"

Berlin, June 29, 2026 – BIT Capital is strategically repositioning its thematic fund, BIT Global Fintech Leaders, and renaming it BIT Aggressive Growth. This rebranding reflects an adjustment to the fund's mandate: the fund is moving away from its restrictive focus on fintech to become a sector-agnostic, aggressive growth option within a clearly structured product architecture that builds upon the BIT Capital flagship fund.
Product architecture centered on the BIT Global Technology strategy
At its core is the BIT Global Technology Leaders fund, serving as our high-conviction strategy. Complementing this, BIT Defensive Growth offers a more conservative variant with a reduced risk profile, while the BIT Aggressive Growth fund represents the offensive expression of the strategy within a UCITS framework. This evolution accounts for the structural changes in the investable universe. In recent years, fintech has increasingly merged into broader technology, consumer, and infrastructure themes. For a pure-play fintech fund, this resulted in a shrinking, thematically blurred universe with high concentration risk. Expanding the mandate removes these limitations.
"The previous focus on fintech made perfect sense in an earlier market environment. Today, however, many of the most attractive growth opportunities no longer emerge within isolated sectors, but rather along broad technological and, in particular, AI-driven transformation processes. We intend to leverage this breadth more consistently in the future and dynamically position the fund where we see the most attractive opportunities,"says Ingo Lupatelli, Fund Manager of BIT Aggressive Growth and Director of Research & Portfolio Management at BIT Capital.
Expanded scope for structural growth opportunities
The new portfolio will be implemented with an aggressive profile: sector-agnostic selection and highly concentrated individual positions to specifically capture structural technology winners, supplemented by satellite positions in early commercialization or scaling phases for an asymmetric return profile.
Currently, the portfolio is particularly focused on the AI infrastructure layer, digital health, biotech, and companies that are unlocking new efficiency and margin potential through the use of AI, automation, and data intelligence. Allocation is primarily in equities, but options and derivatives may also be used to actively manage market exposure, risk profile, and return opportunities.
BIT Global Fintech Leaders has been repeatedly recognized for its strong performance results in recent years1. The goal of the fund management team led by Ingo Lupatelli is to consistently continue the fund's strong track record under its new name.
The renaming to BIT Aggressive Growth will take effect on July 1, 2026. The ISINs for the respective share classes will remain unchanged, as will the fund's risk classification of SRI 6.
